Who we are
Adellatis Legal Consultants (“we”) is the data controller for personal data collected through adellatis.com and in the course of our engagements. Contact: info@adellatis.com.
What we collect
Enquiry details you send us (name, email, organisation, the content of your message and attachments); engagement information needed to deliver work; and basic technical data collected by our hosting provider (WordPress.com) such as IP address and browser type.
Why we process it
To respond to enquiries and deliver engagements (performance of a contract or steps before one); to keep records and manage our business (legitimate interests); and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party marketing.
Confidentiality and sharing
Matter information is treated as confidential and shared only within our team on a need-to-know basis, with service providers that host our systems, or where the law requires. Where work is delivered to a law firm, we share it with that firm as instructed.
International transfers
Our team works internationally. Where personal data is processed outside the UK, we apply appropriate safeguards, including contractual confidentiality obligations and UK GDPR-compliant transfer mechanisms.
Retention and your rights
Matter files are retained for up to 6 years after an engagement ends, then deleted. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the UK GDPR, and the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, email info@adellatis.com.
